My blog covers stories of my interviews with entrepreneurs, leaders in the space industry,
and personal articles as I continue to build my personal brand.
Eric Sundby serves as the Executive Director of the US Space Force Association (USSFA), a nonprofit organization committed to advocating for the Space Force and keeping the public informed. Eric also co-founded and currently serves as the CEO of TerraSpace, a mining technology startup looking to speed up the process of mineral analysis and lower the overall cost of operation for mining companies.
Joshua Todd is the founder and CEO of The Word Astronaut, a technical communications and marketing company with a focus on the space industry. Joshua has had a lot of high level experience in his industry—including Amazon and Blue Origin—and has been working on developing and building The Word Astronaut since the beginning of 2024.
Since the first manned moon landing in July 1969, humans have looked to continue exploring and probing deeper into space. The effort has led mankind to look towards exploring other celestial bodies contained within our solar system. This recent search has largely been directed towards Mars, the fourth planet from the sun. Mars is a prime target for future human settlements due to it having the most accepting atmosphere of the other planets, and a good amount of in-situ resources—resources and materials that can be found on Mars—that can be used to help build habitats (Naser and Chehab 74). However, even with these benefits in favor of Mars and its colonization, there are still many factors that must be considered when planning a human journey to the Red Planet.
David Gonzales II is the co-founder and CEO of Aerial Vehicle Automation (AVA) and co-founder of Landsat Technologies. David, being at the forefront of two startups, has a great deal of experience in industry and quality insights into the progress of the drone sector within the aerospace industry. I asked David about his two companies, the future of AVA, and where he sees the space industry going.
Supermassive Black Holes (SMBHs) are found at the center of most galaxies across the Universe. These SMBHs grow through both the accretion process and galaxy mergers. Recent observations have revealed the existence of overmassive black holes, which are a category of SMBHs that seem to be too large for their host galaxy based on the normal observations made in the local regions and the predictions of theoretical models.
James Adams is the executive director of TexSpace, an organization focused on advocating for the development and expansion of the space economy in Texas, and he is also the Director of Operations at Gallant Culture, a marketing agency located in Houston, Texas. James shared details about his many experiences and insights in the space industry and his thoughts on its future development.
Tyler Gilchrist is the Payload Integration Manager at Firefly Aerospace, a prominent aerospace company located in Texas. Firefly Aerospace is an end-to-end space transportation company that provides services with launch, orbital, and landing capabilities. Firefly is still a newer company in the space industry, but they have already made their name one to know through partnerships with NASA, Lockheed Martin, and multiple international bodies.
Matthew Onassis is the co-founder and CEO of NAVXCOM, a new startup making their name known in the space industry through their work on next generation space navigation and communication systems—even obtaining a partnership with NASA. I had the opportunity to ask Matthew about what NAVXCOM is currently working on, what they are planning for in the future, and how he has overcome challenges at the company.
